In order to probe into magnesium alloy character in plastic deformation , this research is based upon two kinds of different components AZ Mg-Al-Zn alloy AZ61 and AZ80 .From the elevated temperature tensile test from room temperature to 673K also change the strain rate , we can understand magnesium alloy elevated temperature deformation behavior . We also know with elevated temperature and low strain rate(673K、3.3×10-4S-1)we can get the best elongation . We use the age treatment for Mg alloy to understand whether affect its mechanical properties or not . We can find that AZ80 has the maximum compression strength in 488K 6 hours , but AZ61 isn’t greatly affected . In observing the fracture part , the part of the tensile in the low temperature area shows cleavage fracture but at 573K we find the fracture facet to have some dimples . When the tensile temperature rises to 673K , we can find the dimple clearer which means this material has a plastic behavior at this temperature .
