網際網路融合多種媒介的特質，引起學界對網路應用於健康資訊傳播領域的重視。但目前相關研究多集中於網路健康資訊發展與使用者型態之探討，缺乏與原有健康資訊傳播管道之比較，因此無法探究網際網路對原有資訊管道造成何種衝擊。
再則，網路缺乏中央控管機制，網路資訊品質之良莠即成為網路資訊搜尋很重要的問題，尤其是遭遇到與生命、健康攸戚相關的資訊時，資訊品質更是不容輕忽。學者提出網路健康資訊評價準則，作為健康相關網站建置與資訊發佈之規範，但網路資訊品質的把關更需民眾對其意識的提升，因此民眾如何評價網路健康資訊、如何看待網路健康資訊的品質，亦是極需探究的課題。
本研究藉由結構性問卷調查法，比較各類型健康資訊來源，發現網路使用者的健康資訊來源，雖然以網路的使用率最高，對原有傳播管道並無排他性，但網路資源的可信度評價，卻低於醫療專業人員、書籍、電視與報紙。
在十三個網路健康資訊準則中，無論網路使用與否，使用者皆不認為網站設計的美觀與否是重要的評價準則。非網路使用者對於網站使用多媒體以傳播健康資訊，有高於網路使用者的評價。
網路使用者對於文字性資訊的接受度亦高，在成本、效益考量下，可因時、地制宜，選擇適當的資訊傳播管道。善用電子報主動推播健康資訊。亦應教育民眾，提高其對資訊品質的意識。

Internet contains the characteristics of various media, so it is paid much attentions to the application of Internet on health information delivery. Past works almost focus on the research of the development of Internet health information and the behaviors of users. But it lacks of comparison between Internet and traditional health information sources. It is hard to know the impact that Internet has on traditional information sources.
Internet is a decentralized system, so the information quality becomes the most important thing, especially on the searching of health information. The researchers address the Internet health information criteria to guide website setting and information publication. But it still needs users to be quality-keepers. Our study will research the judgment of information users on those criteria.
With structured questionnaire survey, our research compared different health information sources, and found that Internet users have high utility rate at Internet, not excluding other sources, and that the credibility of Internet is low.
Regardless of internet use, samples don’t consider that website design is critical. No-Internet users give higher scores on “using multimedia to delivery health information” than Internet users.
Internet users accept the writing information, so considering the cost and benefit; it is proper to choose the right information delivery system at the right time. In addition, it may be practicable to deliver health information more actively with e─newspapers, and to educate the public to enhance attentions to the health information quality.
