高解像力的數位影像為新興的數位攝影測量技術的主要資料來源，但數位影像與一般底片是相機所拍攝之像片，多會因相機鏡頭光學幾何及物理性質之影響，使得拍攝所得之影像存在各種色像差。本研究主要在探討鏡頭色褪差模式及發展其軟體補償及改正程序，以決定使用像機之色褪差因子。
本研究同時利用數位相機所得之數位影像及底片式相機所得之像片，作為實驗之原始影像來源，其中底片式相機所得之並先經由桌上型掃描器掃描轉換成數位式影像。在經過詳細之探討鏡頭色褪差理論模式後，本研究利用最小二乘法理論，自這些實驗影像中分別求出所使用之兩種像機的色褪差因子，並可利用所設計之軟體程式，進一步正確地補償及改正色褪差所引起的漸暈及漸暗之現象。
