本研究運用震波能量(seismic wave energy)原理來探討斷層帶周邊土層液化發生的可能性。在地震荷重之下土層孔隙水壓之變化與地震後產生傳遞之震波能有直接之相關,地震波能的消散,將引致超額孔隙水壓力之上升。本研究在不同的地震規模及距震央之距離下運用兩種方式得到地震能量:(1)經驗式能量的計算與(2)地震加速度透過傅立葉轉換所得的傅立葉頻譜(Fourier Spectrum, FS),經由實際測站的現場試驗數據,進行迴歸的計算。加上多變量分析中的判別分析與圖面點直接判定的並用,來建立可以判定相對於特定能量下,液化與否的SPT-N值,並以統計的常態分佈方式,計算液化的機率,再配合現場試驗數據,建立液化潛勢風險之經驗準則,據以發展風險評估模式,結合地理資訊系統中繪圖的功能展繪出液化潛勢圖。此外,並利用斷層積分計算出液化的危害評估。研究結果顯示本研究提出之評估模式有不錯之液化評估能力,將可擴展應用於大地工程理論與實務設計時之參考。
