近年來,網路通訊已成為生活的一部份,各種網路的整合,也已成為研究的重點,Beyond 3G的研究便欲整合各種網路,提供人們一個較現在更方便的通訊環境。本論文基於提供人們一種資訊無所不在的概念,以Internet為骨幹整合其他有線和無線網路,同時各種網路都有它自己的Connection Adapter,Adapter的使用如果沒有互補及交替(Handoff)的功能,則資訊無所不在的環境就無法達成;因此本論文也對Adapter提出整合的運作模式,達到Adapter交互運作及交替的目的。
本系統參照GSM系統,利用三層架構的模式整合各種網路,這三層即:
異質網路整合中心HNIC (Heterogeneous Network Intergation Center),其為管理與控制模組,用來建構一個在Internet上的漫遊環境以及提供行動通訊服務;
基地台閘道器IG (Intelligent Gateway),用以銜接各異質網路與Internet連結;
多型網路設備行動電腦Mcma(Mobile Computer with Multiple Adapters),應用程式執行平台,提供使用者利用各網路連結系統之行動設備。
在各層功能的設計上,HNIC提供整合時所需的共同功能並賦予可程式化的功能,以方便特殊情況的處理;IG則朝簡單化設計,如此則個別網路的整合工作較易進行;Mcma的功能則可依特殊應用來設計。本系統的貢獻在於建構一個整合性的行動通訊網路環境,提供無縫漫遊的服務,並用以支援新的應用程式。本論文內容將針對網路整合設計考量與系統運作模式做詳細的說明及討論。
The network communication recently becomes part of human life. The study of integrating different networks also becomes an important research. The research of Beyond 3G just wants to integrate different networks, and to provides a more convenient communication environment for users. This thesis bases on the concept of providing an environment to get information everywhere, using the Internet be a backbone to integrate the wired and wireless networks, on the same time, each network has its own connection adapter, and if the using of adapter was not have the ability of complementary and handoff, the environment of information everywhere can not be reached. So, this thesis also proposed the integrating operation model for Adapter and this model can reach the goal of interworking and handoff of each adapter.
Our system refer to GSM system, using the three layer model to integrate each network, these layers were:
HNIC (Heterogeneous Network Integration Center):the management and control module, it’s for constructing a robust roaming environment over Internet and support the services of mobile communication;
IG (Intelligent Gateway):Connecting the each heterogeneous networks with Internet;
Mcma(Mobile Computer with Multiple Adapters):Mobile equipment that provides the users connect to the system through varies kinds of network.
On the design of each layer functions, the HNIC provided the common functions for integration needed and given the programmable ability, it is convenient to handle the special situation;The design of IG was simplify orientation, it is easy for the work of integrate the each network;And the functions of Mcma can be designed for special application. The main contribution of our system is to build an integration network environment for mobile communication, it is provide the seamless roaming services and support the new applications. In this thesis, the feature of HNIC, design issues of integration networks, the system concept and operation model are discussed in detail.
