It is more than metaphoric that architecture can be and can work as language. Architecture can be made in terms of words, sentences, and compositional rules, which have their own making according to different formulations. To design a language for design is the purpose of this study. There are four parts in this thesis: 1. To present the linguistic view of architecture, and the scope is limited the compositional frame system. 2. To formulate basic words, and rules for composition. Complex sentences can be written in according with the syntax. 3. To test the expression capacity of the language by several writings. The technical interfaces are incorporated to made language more expressive. 4. To demonstrate the formal characteristic of the language by a design presentation. It is the conviction of this study that specific formulation of words and rules can bear certain esthetic quality on design. Language can be public, but using-language is always remained as personal art.
