在電腦圖學的領域裡,模擬材質表面上的缺陷一直是很重要且具挑戰性。刮痕是一種材質表面缺陷. 它可能不影響到材質表面上幾何構造, 但它仍然看得見.在本篇論文中,我們提出了有效的方法來模擬刮痕。根據真實世界下的刮痕的剖面圖,我們會產生被刮傷表面的高度區域圖.利用這個表面的高度區域圖, 我們可以很有效地模擬刮痕的效果.

In the Computer Graphic, the simulation of surface defects is very important. Scratch is one kind of surface defects. It does not always affect the apparent geometry, but remain visible. In this thesis we propose a solution for the efficient representation of scratches on object surface. Our system generates the height field of scratched surface based on profile of real world scratch. We can synthesize the surface scratch successfully.
