The flying pickup head of near-field optical disk drives employs the architecture of hard disk drives. The fly height of a slider above the disk is as low as 20 nm or so. For dynamic analysis of the slider subject to airflow, this study applies aerodynamic force in DADS software in simulation. To facilitate reading and writing, a PZT bender is attached to the flying pickup head for focusing and track-seeking. Besides, this research uses ANSYS software to calculate the displacement of PZT under applied voltage. To compare simulation results, displacements difference and frequency spectrum of the flying pickup head and disk surface are measured by a double-beam laser Doppler vibrometer.
