古典的經濟訂購量模型之所以被廣泛地加以使用,主要是因為此模型非常容易使用及應用。然而,由於需求為固定的假設使得經濟訂購量在使用上面臨限制。事實上,惟有當產品的生命週期處於成熟期時,需求固定的假設才能成立。已經有許多學者致力於擴展經濟訂購量的模型以適用於線性需求的情況。不過在真實環境之中,一些高科技產業的每月需求量常常在採購之前可事先確定,例如:電子、電腦公司…等;而且這些需求通常隨著季節或月份而變化。因此,對這些高科技產業而言,決定最佳訂購政策變成非常重要。
就目前所知,沒有任何研究同時對季節性需求、允許缺貨及受資源限制之存貨問題的加以探討。所以,本研究使用整數規劃之方法來求解此一存貨問題,使用此方法所建立的模型不僅容易應用於現實生活之中,除此之外,決策者也可輕易地將限制式加入模型之內以符合其實際情況。最後,我們使用範例以說明如何實際應用此模型。

The classical Economic Order Quantity(EOQ)model is widely used principally because of it is so simple to use and apply. However, EOQ
model is limited in use owing to the constant demand assumption. In fact, constant demand is only valid during maturity phase of product life cycle. Many researchers have been devoted to extending the EOQ model in order to accommodate linear demand conditions. But in real world situations, the quantity of demand per month is known before purchasing often appearing in some cases of hi-tech industries such as electronic, computers, etc. That is, this demand usually keeps changing in different seasons or months. Therefore, it becomes a very important policy of some hi-tech industries to determine the optimal ordering policy.
In the best of author’s knowledge there is no work done for the inventory problem with seasonal demand, shortage allowed, and resource constraints. In this study, we propose an integer programming method to solve the problem. The proposed model not only can easily to apply to real life but also allow constraints to be added by decision maker for fit the real world situations. Finally, some examples are demonstrated for applying our model to real life.
