摘要

本研究調查女性體保生運動社會化的過程，以及運動對這些女性在人際關係、異性關係、肢體形象、女性特質、性別角色與身份認同的影響。
本研究是以女性主義為理論基礎，採用質性研究深度訪談法來蒐集資料，研究對象包括東華大學全部十二名女性體保生，以及六位大葉大學女性體保生，總計十八名，運動的項目包括自由車、桌球、拔河、田徑、游泳、撐竿跳、網球。
將訪談所得之錄音帶作成逐字稿，共得約27萬字。再將逐字稿內容進行登錄（coding）、分類及擷取重要敘述句之後再進行分析。分析的過程是依事前準備的主題與時間順序將資料予以呈現（data display），然後從事個案本身與個案之間的交叉分析，並利用三角測定與受訪者檢視來增強研究內容之品質。
研究結果共可分有六部分，依次為：（一）個案素描；（二）女性體保生運動社會化的過程；（三）女性特質、肢體形象、身份認同及角色衝突；（四）因耗時密集的訓練而導致學業交友皆缺乏自信；（五）體保生之間形成特殊的次文化團體；（六）因運動所得到的益處及付出的代價。
所得之結論有四：（一）個人性格、家庭背景、學校與運動參與的總合成為影響女性運動社會化相當重要的因素；（二）內、外在動機的消長與互動令運動持續；（三）定期從事運動對女性特質、肢體形象與身份認同的影響既是助力也是阻力；（四）女性體保生可區分為傳統型（traditional）、過渡型（transitory）與非傳統型（non-traditional）三類。
本研究並分別對未來研究者及體保制度制定與執行之相關工作者提出建議。

Abstract

The thesis investigated the process of female athletes’ sport socialization as well as how sports influence these women’s interpersonal relationships, body images, female characteristics, sexual roles and recognitions.

Using feminism as theory base, this thesis adopts in-depth interviewing to collect data. The eighteen interviewees, including twelve female athletes from National Dong Hwa University and six from Da-Yeh University, major in bicycle, table tennis, rope racing, sprint, swimming, pole vault and tennis. After the interview content was typed as full transcription, up to 270 thousand words, the research moved to the process of coding, categorizing as well as adopting the important descriptive sentences and then analyzing. The analysis method uses the preparing topics and chronological order to display data first, and then to focus on the case itself and inter-case relationship. Also, the triangulation and members check were used to inhence the quality of this research content.

The six research results are as the following: 1. Case description 2. The process of the female athletes’ socialization 3. Female characteristics, body images, role recognitions and interruptions 4. Under the sports system, the long-hour training makes these female athletes lack of confidence to enrich knowledge and build sexual relationships 5. The sub-cultural group exists between the female athletes 6. The benefit and cost of the sports.

Four conclusions are made as the following: 1. The combination of personal characteristics, backgrounds, the school, and the sports involvement is an important factor for woman’s sports socialization. 2. The interaction of internal and external motivation keeps most female athletes continuing exercising. 3. Regular exercise brings goods and bads to woman’s characteristics, body images and role recognitions. 4. Female athletes are categorized into traditional, transitory and non-traditional groups.

This research also provides suggestions to other researchers and the people who regulate and implement the sports system.
