本研究旨在發展「助聽器效益量表」，並運用量表評估助聽器效益。
「助聽器效益量表」共34題，包括四個分量表「容易或有利的語音聽
取環境」、「不易或不利的語音聽取環境」、「非語音聽取環境」與「對特
定聲音的反應」，填表方式分為雙項（「沒戴助聽器」及「戴助聽器」）
與單項填表方式（「助聽器的幫助」），針對123名後天感音性聽力損失，
且第一次配戴助聽器滿三個月但不超過一年者，進行效益評估，研究結
果摘述如下。
一、「助聽器效益量表」信度與效度：具備良好信度，內部一致性信度
介於.95∼.98，分量表與總量表的相關很高，重測信度.71；效度良
好，經專家審查具有內容效度；因素分析結果都屬於同一因素，
適合用以評估助聽器效益；具有效標效度，滿意度及聽力損失程度
均與助聽器效益達顯著相關。
二、單項與雙項填表方式之得分達顯著相關，顯示兩種填表方式都可行
，而單項填表方式有較高的填答完整性。
三、每日使用助聽器時數、對助聽器的滿意度皆與助聽器效益達顯著相
關；年齡、助聽器配置時日與效益則未達顯著相關。
四、單雙項效益結果均證實助聽器具有效益。
五、聽覺障礙程度較高的分量表是「不易或不利的語音聽取環境」；單
雙項效益較高的都是「容易或有利的語音聽取環境」。
六、聽力損失程度與聽覺障礙程度達顯著相關；聽力損失程度與助聽器
效益未達顯著相關；聽覺障礙程度與助聽器效益達顯著相關。
七、選取與總量表相關最高的第三分量表「非語音聽取環境」發展為簡
版一；選取與總分相關最高的前十題發展為簡版二，兩種簡版與原
版的相關都很高。

The purpose of the study were to develop a hearing aid benefit inventory and to apply it on first-time hearing aid wearers. The hearing aid benefit inventory is a 34-item self-assessment questionnaire. It includes four subscales, which are ease of communication, difficulty of communication, environmental sounds and reactions to specific sounds. Subjects were 123 post-lingual hearing- impaired persons who were first time hearing aid wearers for 3 to 12 months. Results showed the following.
1. The hearing aid benefit inventory has high internal consistency reliability (α=.95∼.98), good test-retest reliability (r= .71), and good validity.
2. Two types of evaluating hearing aid benefit were compared. More subjects answered the direct type of questions than indirect ones. Direct benefit score was significantly related to the indirect score, which was derived from unaided
and aided scores.
3. Hours of hearing aids use and satisfaction toward hearing aids were significantly related to scores of hearing aid benefit. Duration of hearing aids use and age of subjects were weakly related to scores of hearing aid benefit.
4. Hearing aids did benefit hearing-impaired subjects.
5. Subjects showed higher scores of hearing handicap in difficulty of communication subscale. They benefited the most in ease of communication subscale.
6. Hearing thresholds were significantly related to the degree of hearing handicap, but weekly related to scores of hearing aid benefit. The degree of hearing handicap was significantly related to scores of hearing aid benefit.
7. Two shortened versions of hearing aid benefit inventory were suggested.
One is the environmental sounds subscale, which showed the highest
correlation with the score of total scale, the other one is a ten-item version in which the correlation between these items and the total score were the highest.
