本研究旨在探討「薩提爾模式親職成長團體」對國中生家長之立即與追蹤輔導效果。本研究採等組前後測及追蹤測量的實驗設計，以高雄市小港國中、中山國中二十六名國一、國二學生家長為對象，依其性別、教育程度、子女之年級與性別將受試者隨機分派成實驗組與控制組。實驗組接受為期四週，每週六個小時，共二十四小時的薩提爾模式親職成長團體諮商；控制組則在實驗組實驗處理結束後第七週再接受團體輔導。
本研究之自變項為實驗處理；依變項為父母的溝通姿態、親子關係和親子溝通三類，以「父母溝通姿態量表」、「親子關係量表」和「親子溝通量表」測量之。所得資料以單因子共變數分析進行統計考驗，並以成員填寫的團體單元回饋表、團體總回饋表及訪談結果作為研究結果的佐證與補充。
本研究之主要結論如下：
一、薩提爾模式親職成長團體對國中生家長之父母溝通姿態、親子關係及親子溝通之立即輔導效果不顯著。
二、實驗處理六週後，對國中生家長之父母溝通姿態、親子關係及親子溝通之追蹤輔導效果亦不顯著。
三、由團體成員的回饋及訪談發現，成員對本團體持正向肯定的態度，認為參加完團體獲得的學習包括增進同理心，改變父母獨尊觀念，設身處地為孩子的立場著想；能冷靜思考，減少即時反應；能覺察原生家庭對自己及對孩子的影響以及學習新的親子管教與親子溝通技巧。此外，成員也表示經實驗處理後，他們較能促進家庭成員關係、調整舊有規則、改善親子溝通、提高情緒控制能力以及提升自我價值，更善待自己。
最後，研究者針對實驗結果與訪談分析之不一致加以討論，並據此對未來研究與輔導實務提出若干建議。

A Study on the Effects of Satir Model Parenting growth Group with
Parents of Junior High School Students

Abstract
The major purposes of the research were to develop a Satir model parenting group counseling program and to examine the immediate and follow-up effects of “Satir model parenting group counseling program” with parents of junior high school students.
Subjects were 26 parents who have adolescent children at 1st and 2nd grades in junior high school. They were randomly assigned into either the experiment group oor the control group. The parents in the experiment group were arranged to attend eight sessions of group counseling, six hours a day, for four continuous weekends. The waiting list control group received the same treatment after the study.
The dependent variables consisted of “communication stances,” “parent-child relationship,” and “parent-child communication.” All subjects received the pretest, the posttest and the follow-up test with the “Parent Communication Stances Scale” for the parents, and “Parent-Child Relationship Scale” and “Parent-Child Communication Scale” for the parents’ adolescent children. The data were analyzed by analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). In addition, the results of the group members’ feedback sheets, and the interview datas were analyzed as the support and supplement of the research outcome.
The results showed that Satir model parenting group counseling program didn’t show significantly immediate effects on the three dependent variables, nor did the follow-up effects.
From the members’ feedback sheets and the interview data, it was found that the parents had positive attitudes toward the group program, and learned to better understand their children and consider children’s perception, to be aware of the influences from original families on themselves and their parental attitudes.Additionally, after the treatment, parents were aware of positive change in parent-child relationship and parent-child communication. They were more able to manage their emotions, and change rigid rules and improve self-esteem.
Finally, suggestions from the results of this study were provided for school counselors. Some issues for future research were also indicated.
