The Relationships between Emotion Management and Interpersonal Relationships on the Primary Schools Abstract The purposes of this study are (1) to compare the differences of emotional management components with regard to grade, gender, family social-economic status, and different school regions (2) to compare the differences of interpersonal relationships components with regard to grade, gender, family social-economic status, and different school regions (3) to investigate the relationships between emotional management and interpersonal relationships for the primary school. The research utilizes questionnaire to be proceeded by stratified random sampling that the samples are 888 in number and the effective questionnaires are 805,and the research subjects are the 4th and 6th grade of primary schools in Kaohsiung City , Kaohsiung County. Besides, the survey tools are survey on the emotional management, survey on the interpersonal relation that are self-made. The data available form the surveys is analyzed by Independent Samples t-test, one-way ANOVA, person product-moment correlation. The findings of this study are in the following: 1.matter what age they are, the students in the primary school must strengthen their emotional management ability. 2.The girl students are better than boy students in the emotional management and interpersonal relation. 3.High social —economic status family compared to the low social—economic status family, High social — economic status family behave more excellently in emotional management. 4.There were not significant differences in the interpersonal relation between grades. 5.There were significant differences in the interpersonal relation of between sexes. 6.There were significant differences on emotional management and interpersonal relation between different school regions. 7.There were significant positive correlations between emotional management and interpersonal relation. According to the research, we suggests the following conclusions: The aspect of school education 1.Put the emotional education and interpersonal relationship ability in the life. 2.Whenever, be necessary to guide students manage self-emotion and adapt others’ emotion to set up good interpersonal relation. 3.Be students’ guide for emotional management, and develop positive attitude toward emotional perplex The aspect of class management 1.Teachers set good models to be followed for students in the emotional management and interpersonal relation. 2.Teachers design the learning courses, and provide successful experiences for students. 3.Strengthen the communication of teachers and parents, help the students who are different variance in the interpersonal relation. The aspect of family education 1.Parents should establish examples to children, and make good family atmosphere. 2.Parents plan to arrange leisure activities on weekends. 3.Parents, have correct occupation concept, guide children the positive attitude toward their life.
