To every child, family members and family emotion play significant roles in the sources of “early meaning,” which is viewed as the core of children’s inner world. The research was done in class lily, a third-grade class of Hua-iu Primary School in Chuen-feng Village, Kaohsiung. Meanwhile, this case study proceeded from Feb., 2000 toJan.,2003 and was conducted with Shiau-miin, Shiau-shan, Shiau-jiuan, Shiau-long as the research cases. (All the names are pseudonyms.) The purposes of this study were to investigate their family members, their parent-child interactions, children’s cognizance and feelings towards their families, parents’ attitudes to discipline, and parent-child relationships. The four children’s family experiences along with their significance were explored as well. No special or great reasons but a simple wish — constructing a map to children’s inner world─ that triggers the author to do this research. Due to the finite time and effort, four kids were chosen as the cases. Through deep exploration, intensive understanding of the kids followed by enhancement of the author’s search abilities and sensibilities is expected. The method of this research is through observations of students’ school lives, diaries, compositions and drawings. Not only the inner world of the children but also the researcher’s reflection is the fruit of this study, which not only tells four life stories, but accompanies by the self-growth of the researcher, known as well as a teacher─the first line of primary education.
