本研究旨在比較合作學習教學法與傳統教學法對國小五年級學童在音樂科學習之學習動機、班級氣氛及學習成就的影響，本研究對象分別取自高雄市甲校及屏東市乙校五年級生各兩班，共144名學生，由班級原音樂教師擔任授課者，實驗班進行合作學習教學法，控制班進行傳統教學法，兩組受試者皆是每週上課兩次，每次40分鐘，總計為期八週的實驗教學研究。
本研究採取準實驗研究，以「音樂科學習狀況調查問卷」、「音樂學習成就試卷」、「學生合作意見調查表」以及「教師意見調查表」為研究工具，對所有受試者進行調查，並訪談參與合作學習的學生以及教師，瞭解參與合作學習之教師與學生對合作學習的看法和合作學習在國小音樂科中實行的可行度為何。研究結果以SPSS統計套裝軟體以及質化分析作整理推論，得到結論如下述。
本研究發現，（一）合作學習能提高國小兒童音樂科學習的學習動機；（二）合作學習的良性競爭能提升音樂科學習的班級氣氛；（三）合作學習對兒童音樂科的學習成就並沒有明顯提升；（四）學生能接受音樂科合作學習的學習策略以及（五）教師普遍能接受合作學習教學方法。
研究者根據研究發現加以討論，並且針對本研究之研究工具、研究設計以及未來實施合作學習的教師與未來的研究，分項提出檢討與建議。

The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of cooperative learning with traditional teaching method on fifth-grade students’ music learning motivation, class atmosphere, and music achievement. The subjects (N=144) were grouped into two classes, “cooperative learning class” and “traditional class”, both at School A in Kaoshung city and School B in Pingtung county. Students’ original music teachers gave music lectures twice a week. Each lesson was forty minutes. Two kinds of instructions, cooperative learning and traditional teachings, lasted for eight weeks in this study.
”An observation form on music lessons”, “A measurement tool on students’ music achievement ”, “A questionnaire on students’ learning motivation and class atmosphere”, “A questionnaire on students’ opinions on cooperative learning ”, and “A questionnaire on teachers’ opinions on cooperative learning” were applied in this study. The data were computed by SPSS statistical software or analyzed and summarized into research findings.
The results of this study were: 1) cooperative learning would be able to increase students’ music learning motivation, 2) cooperative learning would be able to improve class atmosphere in music lessons, 3) cooperative learning does not significantly increase students’ music achievement, 4) students generally preferred cooperative learning, and 5) music teachers who participate in this experiment generally accept and preferred cooperative learning. Many discussions and suggestions for schools, teachers, and further research were given in this study.
