The main purpose of this study was to investigate the professional competence and training curriculum of elementary school principal form elementary school principals’ viewpoint. There are two parts in this study. The first is, professional competence of elementary school principal, used the questionnaire developed by the researcher, 106 panel members selected from elementary school principal of Taiwan area, participated in the two round Delphi technique survey, and show the sequence of importance according to Means and Coefficient of Variation. The second is, training curriculum of elementary school principal, used the questionnaire developed by the researcher, 78 panel members selected from elementary school principal of Taiwan area, participated in the two round Delphi technique survey, and show the sequence of importance according to Means and Coefficient of Variation. The results were as followed: 1. Professional competence of elementary school principal contains 51 items within four sections: fundamental moralities, instructional leadership, administrative management and public relations. According to sequence of importance, the higher contains 17 items; the medium contains 27 items; the lower contains 7 items. 2. Training curriculum of elementary school principal contains 49 items within four sections: fundamental moralities, instructional leadership, administrative management and public relations. According to sequence of importance, the higher contains 13 items; the medium contains 18 items; the lower contains 18 items. Finally, several suggestions had been raised to the bureau of education, principal selecting center, principal training center, elementary school principal and future researchers.
