分碼多工接取(CDMA)於1989年CTIA所提出之下一代蜂巢技術需求，CTIA提出「使用者性能需求」（UPR）作為下一代無線通訊的服務指標，而第三代行動通訊是將無線通訊與網際網路結合起來，CDMA為第三代行動通訊的核心技術，其優點為多工、抗多路徑干擾、保密性、容量效益等等。分碼多工技術已成為第三代行動通訊系統公認的多重擷取技術的標準，例如歐規 (W-CDMA)標準和美規CDMA2000標準。
論文中的研究目標是從編碼的分析著手，在發射端作不同碼長之分析與討論，在接收端設計了兩種不同的接收機：RAKE接收機及Smart Antenna 接收機來改善衰減通道多路徑的影響，並且評估兩種接收機在模擬通道的系統效能。採用數位訊號處理模擬器(ACOLADE)及MATLAB，來進行CDMA收發機系統的模擬、設計和測試，並評估其在高斯白雜訊(AWGN)通道及多路徑衰減通道下的性能。

Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) is proposed as the next generation cellular technology by CTIA (Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association) in 1989. CTIA proposed “User Performance Requirement” as the service norm of the next generation wireless communication. The 3rd generation mobile communication combines wireless communication with internet network. CDMA is the core technology of the 3G mobile communication and has many advantages such as multiple access, resistance against the multipath interference, keep secret and capacity efficacy etc. CDMA has become the accepted standard of multiple access technology for the 3G mobile communication system, for example, WCDMA and CDMA2000.
The research objective of the thesis is to start with coding analysis first. We analyze and discuss the impact of different lengths of codes in the transmitter. Next, we design two kinds of receivers, i.e., RAKE receiver and Smart Antenna receiver to improve the multipath effect of fading channels and each performance is evaluated over the simulated channels. By the use of DSP simulator(ACOLADE) and MATLAB, the CDMA transceiver system is simulated, designed, and tested for performance evaluation in Additive White Gussian Noise（AWGN） and multipath fadind channels.
