無論何種型式之防波堤,沖刷為防波堤成敗與否之關鍵機制。尤其台灣四面環海,港灣構造物眾多,每逢颱風或暴潮過後,總需投入鉅額經費修復,近年來濱海工業區大量開發,隨即建設深水港,深水防波堤屢因堤頭波浪能量集中之效應,造成沖刷破壞,導致整體結構失敗,實有近一步深入探討之必要。
本研究以探討國外文獻,針對國內較忽略之沖刷影響因素,如保護層寬度、堤頭形狀、波浪入侵角度、潮流疊加效應等,分別探討,進而研提各階段之防護對策,以作為爾後防波堤在規劃、設計、施工、維護、管理時,加強檢核之參考。

The failure of breakwater due to wave impacting and scouring on the breakwater is typical failure mode on breakwater. Those cause the repair cost are a usual issue in Taiwan. Hence, this research will discuss the effect of scouring on breakwater caused by wave impacting. Discussing includes protection layer, head shape, angle of wave incident, the user guide of breakwater in Taiwan is discussed also.
