隨著網際網路的發展，各式搜尋引擎便因應而生，目前的搜尋引擎主要針對一般的網頁內容進行搜尋，並沒有以商品為主的查詢，即使有，主要是透過廠商合作的方式進行整合，至於如何自動分析與擷取商品網頁，而不透過合作的方式，便是本研究的重點。
為了能夠動態擷取HTML網頁中的商品資訊，本研究僅擷取網頁中的純文字商品資訊，而不擷取多媒體資訊，例如：商品圖片、影音等。由於利用表格呈現商品已成為趨勢，因此，在研究中僅以表格中的商品為搜尋對象，並利用表格呈現商品的格式差異性，找出四種最普遍的表格呈現格式。第一種為一個表格中只有一個標題，但存在有多筆商品資料；第二種為一個表格中含有多筆商品資料，且每筆商品資料有對應的標題；第三種為一個表格中只有一筆商品資料，且每筆商品資料有對應的標題；第四種為表格中含有多層次表格，且只有一筆商品資料，並與標題對應。
依據彼此的特性，建立自動分類流程；並從不同的呈現格式中，利用特有資訊擷取技術建立資料庫，使達到自動分析網頁內容、擷取商品資訊的功能，以完成動態的網路商品搜尋引擎。為了驗證研究的結果，最後，針對國內圖書網站，規劃一系統實作。

This study concentrates on setting up the rules and analyzing the structure of shop-ping homepages from HTML documents to retrieve the text information of the specific commodities automatically; besides, it also provides the self-designing program to ex-plain the theory practically. There are no formal standard for those homepages on nowadays; in other words, it is hard for the customers to organize and gather informa-tion of commodities that were separated in different homepages, and customers have to repeat the same movement to get in and out of different homepages to collect the whole information. To simplify the searching procedure and to improve the efficiency of shop-ping on Internet, forming clear rules of retrieval and analyzing the structure of home-pages are very important. This study induces the analyzing in both the interrelated in-formation and also the distinction between the display of commodities from different shopping homepages; those information will be used in designing automatic analyze through the program.
The most advanced integration technique still has long way to go. There are sev-eral search engines have been integrated between the shopping sites through the busi-ness cooperation. The customers can query the complete information of commodities only via one interface to make their decision; however, it can be worked only under the specific allied homepages that were under the same federation. But, there is still a prob-lem when it doesn’t work under the federation.
Among the dozen most popular use of tables on shopping homepages, the charac-teristics of the display of tables that were already be analyzed and classified. There are four popular categories of the format to represent the method of information retrieval. First, there are multi-records in one table with only one title. Second, there are multi-records in one table, and each record has his title. Third, there is only one-record with the title in one table. Forth, there are multi tables for one record that with itself title but not all the information of commodities are in the same table.
Depending on the original codes between these categories, the specific technique be developed to retrieve the shopping homepages dynamically. Finally, a experimental parsing system and a simple search engines that adapt the example of Taiwan electronic bookstores are being developed to test the proposed method.
