目前國內對於電子化學習的議題主要以學校單位為研究對象，對於企業的相關研究尚在少數。由於電子化學習屬於較新的議題，目前國內企業中並無參考的典範，多數研究探討的重點在於設備技術的導入，鮮少有討論企業內部策略、組織、執行狀況等議題。因此，本研究目的有下列四點：一、探討台灣地區人壽保險業推動電子化學習的運作現況。二、探討不同企業特質對電子化學習導入的影響。三、探討推動電子化學習的策略因素。四、探討實際推動電子化學習的執行影響因素。
本研究整理國內外和電子化學習有關的文獻，作為本研究發展理論架構的基礎，研究方法採用問卷調查方式進行資料蒐集，以結構式和開放式問題，對台灣地區二十七家人壽保險公司進行調查，問卷回收二十家公司，經由統計分析，歸納出台灣地區人壽保險業目前推動現況及型態。
本研究結果發現，台灣地區人壽保險業推動電子化學習的關鍵在於企業的經營規模，並歸納出廣泛運用、訓練輔助、知識管理、及業務服務四種推動型態。其次，本研究分析影響推動電子化學習的組織文化、學習架構、組織及作業方式、及基礎設施等策略因素，歸納人壽保險業推動電子化學習的重要關鍵因素。最後，將各公司實際推動電子化學習時有關組織學習模式、學習者之障礙、公司推動之障礙、及採用課程類型等執行議題，作深入的探討。
本研究之發現，可提供台灣地區人壽保險產業推動電子化學習之參考外，其結果亦可對其他有意推動電子化學習的企業做為深入研究之基礎，並將有助於企業運用資訊科技於員工學習發展，以強化企業之競爭力。

Present studies on E-Learning mainly focus on schools or educational institutes, and there are few related reports found on enterprises or companies. Because E-Learning is a new type of on-job training, there is no established model for reference so far.Concerning business E-Learning, most of the current researches focus on the implementation of "hardware" or "platform", and few discuss the “software part”, such as the strategy, organizational learning style, or operating situation of the business enterprise or company. Therefore, the purposes of this study were: 1.To study the role and current situation of E-Learning in life insurance industry in Taiwan; 2.To study the influence of company characteristics on E-Learning execution; 3.To study the strategy of E-Learning promotion; 4.To study the factors influencing E-Learning execution.
This study developed the base of theory with many references relating to E-Learning. Data collection was done by questionnaires which included structural and opening questions. Twenty in the 27 life insurance companies in Taiwan completed the questionnaires. The retrieved data were coded and analyzed by statistic method.
The result of the study showed that the key factor of E-Learning execution in the insurance industry was the size of enterprise. Four promotional patterns were also generalized, namely, widely used, training assisting, knowledge management, and sales service. Moreover, this study examined the strategy factors of E-Learning from company culture, learning structure, organization and operation, and business infrastructure. Also in detail discussed about the practical problems which employees or companies faced when using E-Learning.
The results of this study can be a reference for E-Learning promotion in life insurance industry in Taiwan, and serve as a basis in studying E-Learning models in other industries. They also were helpful for enterprises in utilizing information technology for employee’s training, hence, to increase the competitive strength of the company.
