在競爭激烈的環境下,加上全球的經濟景氣衰退,企業為了追求成長目標通常會選擇購併進行企業多角化的經營。企業購併後為急於產生購併之效用,往往迅速採取裁員、資遣等整合措施,而被購併員工和原購併公司員工,也會因為面臨組織外的競爭環境變動快速,以及組織內的組織制度變革、人員的縮編,導致工作量增加,時間壓力升高。學術上,由過去的學者研究時間壓力的文獻當中,可以發現時間壓力與績效表現間,以及時間壓力與創造力間並無一定的關係存在。本研究認為時間壓力會因為個體間的差異而有程度上的差別,過去學者採用團隊層級為績效衡量的指標並不恰當,所以本研究採用個人層級的個人創新傾向為衡量指標,試圖探討個人的時間壓力程度與個人創新傾向間的關係。再者,由文獻的整理當中,可以發現壓力的知覺程度會因為個體的差異而有不同,所以本研究加入人格特質為中介變數,試圖瞭解時間壓力、人格特質與個人創新傾向的關係。最後參考Andrew(1996)提出的時間壓力管理方法為調和變數,試圖探討這些時間壓力管理方法,是否可以調和時間壓力所帶來的衝突。
本研究以高科技產業之研發工程師、行銷企畫專員、以及專案經理之公司員工或幹部個體為研究對象,進行個案訪談以及實證研究,有效問卷回卷率為22.07 %。以統計分析方法之ANOVA、SCHEFFE TEST檢定假設。研究結果顯示時間壓力與個人創新傾向為正向關係。人格特質越傾向於A型者,其時間壓力的感受程度明顯高於B型人格特質者。B型人格特質者在高度時間壓力下,其個人創新傾向顯著高於中度、低度時間壓力;而A型人格特質者在高度、中度、低度時間壓力下,並無顯著的差異存在。在高度時間壓力下,組織採取高度正式化的流程、高度團隊合作、高度跨部門合作,其個人創新傾向會不如預期。
時間壓力並無好、壞之分,雖然我們常討論它的負面效果,但它也有正面價值。在潛在利益的情況下,時間壓力也代表一種機會。正如本研究結果顯示時間壓力與個人創新傾向兩者為正向關係所示。
