Through the increasing variety of mobile phone capabilities, people can characterize their mobile phone more to show their characteristic such as ring settings, color covers, etc. What if they could characterize the capabilities of their mobile phone? The question aroused the researcher’s interest and became the object of this study. In this study, by inquiring the use of build-in functions of mobile phone and analyzing on functional structure of six mobile phones, the researcher is attempt to proposing a design of mobile phone. Objectives of this study are:
1.The percentage of mobile phone capabilities that users use most frequently are less than 50%.
2.Messages, Vibrate settings, Alarm clock and Phone settings are the capabilities that users use most frequently of mobile phone.
3.The function keys that all mobile phones have are Power, Answer, Cut, Menu, Volume, Voice box and Cal lists. The capabilities that all mobile phones have are Address book, Call list, Messages, Ring settings, Games, Calculator and Alarm clock.
4.The concept called Personalize Application Programs is highly acceptable to users.
5.The function called Frequently Used List was thought that it can increase the usability of mobile phone.
6.Function keys are more frequently than number keys in general use.
