無線通訊產業的蓬勃發展,帶動消費型態的快速改變,第二代無線通訊系統主要提供的話務服務,已經無法滿足使用者的需求,雖然後續以加值服務的方式來取代不足之處,但仍無法有效提供多媒體及即時性影音資料,未來第三代無線通訊系統將取代第二代無線通訊系統,提供行動用戶多媒體和即時性的服務。但是,提供多媒體和即時性的資料需要較多的頻寬,在無線通訊資源有限的情況之下,資源的有效配置及應用,將可提高傳輸效能及減少不必要的浪費。
由於行動通訊用戶是移動的,具有機動性、靈活性的特點,造就其快速成長,但是當需求量大、用戶多、應用廣,可用資源的配置將是主宰傳輸品質的重要條件,尤其是當行動台MS(Mobile Station)處於交遞(Handoff)情形時,如果沒有足夠資源可供使用,可能會造成傳輸中斷,或者傳輸品質不佳的情形,導致後續需要重新作業一次到數次,白白浪費資源及時間。因此,在本論文中提出一個交遞資源保留的策略,確保交遞作業時資源配置正常。
本論文的目的在於提出第三代無線通訊系統下,以訊號強度及傳輸資料型態為基礎的交遞資源保留演算法,當MS移動至CELL與CELL間之重疊區,新CELL則對此剛進入的MS,以訊號強度偵測的方式判別其未來可能的行徑路徑,再以傳輸資料區分的方式,做保留資源建立的優先順序,以確保在交遞作業發生時,有資源可供使用。

The advance of wireless communication have been changed the customs of people. The voice service of GSM is not satisfied the customers need. In the future, the 3G will replace GSM and provide more services about multimedia and real-time data. But these kinds of data require more bandwidth in the communication. How to allocate and control the resource is more important in the finite bandwidth. If the resource handle well, it is not only raised the performance but also degraded the resource wasted.
There are many characteristics resulted in the rapid growing of the mobile communication. For example, the comfortable、the mobility and sensitivity. When the number of mobile phone subscribers increase and the most transmitting data are multimedia and real-time, the resource allocation affect the quality of service(QoS). In the handoff, if the new cell has no enough resource to allocate, the MS(mobile station)would be lost or stayed the old cell which QoS is bad.
In this paper, we propose a resource reservation stratagem to allocate the resource before handoff. First, we would predict the direction of the MS movement which is based on signal measured. Therefore, we distinguish the resource reserved time by the type of transmitted data. Then, according the predict value and the time point to create the resource reservation.
