本論文主要是在實現一個無線的IP電話系統。此一電話最大的特性就在於它結合了藍芽(Bluetooth)與SIP兩種協定。 其主要包含兩個部份;一個就是用來播號與通話的無線話筒(Handset);另一個則是扮演管理者與媒介者角色的電話主機(Base station)。無線話筒主要以一嵌入式的平台(EDB7209)與易利信藍芽發展工具(EBDK)來實現,而主機則是由一台含有音效卡與網路卡的多媒體電腦及EBDK所組成。此系統支援一個主機對上多個無線話筒的拓樸網路。手機可以以藍芽為一短範圍的傳輸媒介,來經由主機對SIP-based的網路播打電話;相對地,也可以經由主機來接收外部所打進來的電話。如此之外,任兩個無線話筒皆可直接的進行溝通與對話。

The objective of this thesis is to implement a cordless IP telephone system. The major feature of the telephone is the combination of Bluetooth and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). The system consists of two parts. One is the handset for dialing and speaking, and the other is the base station as a manager and medium. The handset is implemented on an embedded platform (EDB7209) and Ericsson Bluetooth Development Kit (EBDK). The base station is composed of a multi-media PC with a soundcard and Ethernet card and EBDK. The system supports a topology of one base and multi-handsets. Handsets can use Bluetooth as a short-range bearer for making an external call to SIP-based network via the base station. In addition, the handsets can accept an incoming external call via the base station as well. And both of the handsets can communicate with each other directly.
