鄉村地區的產業發展一直以來與地區及地區社會網絡有著密切的關係，然而當地產業如何鑲嵌於社會網絡並永續經營。本研究主要目的，從社會鑲嵌理論著手，探討地區居民的生活情況，檢驗解釋地區發展中產業鑲嵌存在的因素。當地產業透過居民經濟互動、社會網絡的連結、地區發展創造出鑲嵌的現象。社會鑲嵌是指由人際交往中存在著相互信任的現象，經由經濟活動互動行為產生信任，是傳統的經濟學無法衡量的而制度經濟學透露出這個現象。
本文選擇嘉義縣梅山鄉作為研究對象，抽樣所得88份有效樣本。採用因素分析來檢驗產業社會鑲嵌是否鑲嵌於當地區，最後以獨立樣本T檢定與單因子變異數分析，檢定影響社會鑲嵌的因素並以面對面訪談所取得的資料，以建立當地產業社會鑲嵌的現象。
研究結果發現，農業生產、產業所能提供的工作機會、產業所帶來的利潤、產業所能創造的工作價值、居民網絡、網絡連結、農友互動、社會關係、技術、生產價值、地區、社區生產、社區居民學習以及自然資源等因素，皆為解釋地區產業存在社會鑲嵌的因素。
分析結果顯示嘉義縣梅山鄉產業鑲嵌因素與釵h變項有顯著的差異。就人口統計變項而言，居民的年齡、收入以及耕作面積。就產業動態變項而言，擴大耕作面積、轉業計劃與否、加入農業產銷班班員、投入資金以及農產業販賣地點等對於產業社會鑲嵌現象都有顯著的影響。
研究結果得知，產業要良好永續經營，除了活絡當地社會網絡連結與促進當地社區發展，同時在另一方面產業鑲嵌(industrial embeddedness)的現象,要從提升地區居民經營產業動態的效益著手。將產業鑲嵌於地區，則使產業持續發展。

The industrial development in the country is always very relative to the area and the local social network, however, it is very important for the local industry to embed to the social network and keep operating. The main purpose of this research is to begin with social embeddedness theory, discover the life of the local residents, and examine and explain the factor of the local industry embeddedness, which is being developed. The local industry creates the embeddedness phenomenon through the economical interaction with the local residents, the link to the social network, and the local development. The social embeddedness means the phenomenon of the bi-directional trust in human’s relationship, which occurs through the interaction behaviors of economical activities and cannot be measured in traditional economics, but it is revealed by institutional economics.
We choose Mei-Shang, Chia-yi country as our research object, and sampled 88 valid samples. Factor analysis is adopted to examine whether the industrial social embeddedness embed in the local area. Finally we use independent sample T examination and single factor variance analysis to examine the factors influencing the social embeddedness. We also use the information retrieved from face-to-face talk to establish the phenomenon of the local industrial social embeddedness.
The research shows that the following can explain the factors of the local industrial social embeddedness’ existence: work opportunities from agricultural productivity and industries, profit brought by industries, the value invented by industries, residential networks, network links, farmer interactions, social relations, techniques, value of productivity, area, community productivity, residents’ learning of the community, natural resources, etc.
The result of the analysis shows that the industrial embeddedness factors in Mei-Shan, Chia Yi differ very much from many variances. When population statistic variance is taken, the factors are the age of the resident, incomings, and farming area. If the situation of industry is taken, increase the farming area, profession-transition planning, joining the agricultural marketing curriculum, funding, and locations of selling agricultural products, have great influences on industrial social embeddedness phenomenon.
From the conclusion of the research, we know that if we want to keep the industry operating well, in addition to activating the local social network and improving the development of the local area, we also have to upgrade the managing industrial benefits of the local residents in the phenomenon of the industrial embeddedness. Embedding the industry in the area makes the industry keep improving.
