摘要
本研究主旨在探討我國社區大學學員對公共論壇之學習動機與學習滿意度，其具體目的包括社大學員對參與公共論壇的動機取向、瞭解社大學員參與公共論壇之後學習滿意度之情形，並探討不同背景變項與社大學員學習動機、學習滿意度之關係，最後根據研究發現提出具體建議，以作為相關單位參考依據。
為達到上述研究目的，本研究係採用文獻法、問卷調查法、及深度訪談法三種研究方法。首先，參考文獻相關資料編製成「社區大學學員對公共論壇之學習動機與學習滿意度調查問卷」；其次，以持續推動公共論壇並在課程評鑑中獲獎的「宜蘭社大」、「永和社大」作為研究母體，以立意抽樣方式對500位學員進行問卷調查，有效問卷回收宜蘭社大270份、永和社大69份，共339份，可用率67.8%。此外，與長期關心社大發展，並具有實務經驗的四位專家學者、社大校長及行政人員進行深度訪談。
最後，將量化研究以統計方法加以分析，並結合質化研究之相互印證進行歸納比較與討論。研究發現如下結論：
一、 學員對校方舉辦公共論壇的努力給予高度肯定。
二、 學員參與公共論壇最主要的目的為增廣見聞。
三、 學員參與公共論壇後已能學習傾聽不同和對立的聲音。
四、 社區關懷及貼近生活的議題內容，比例有增加的需要。
五、 校方嚴格要求一定要參加，將導致隱性反彈。
六、 引言人滿意度最高，顯示需提昇學員「從聽到說」的能力。
七、 主持人是掌控氣氛的靈魂人物，對滿意度影響甚鉅。
八、 學員期待公共論壇舉辦的方式更生動活潑。
九、 低學歷者的學習動機與學習滿意度有向上提昇的空間。

Summary

The purpose of this article is to study the learning motive and the learning satisfaction to a public forum for community college students. The concrete objectives contain finding the motives for community college students to participate in a public forum, understanding the satisfaction for community college students after taking a part in a public forum, and study the relationship among different population variables, learning motives and learning satisfaction. In conclusion, we will propose concrete suggestion to be a reference for related organizations.
In order to accomplish the above-mentioned purpose, this article applies three research methods such as document method, questionaire method and interview method. First of all, references were applied to compile “The question inquiry of the learning motives and learning satisfaction to a public forum for community college students”. In the next place, we took Yilan Community College and Yonghe Community College, which have been consistently promote public forums and were awarded in class evaluation, as statistic population to proceed questionaire for 500 students through purpose sampling. There were 339 effective samples back including 270 from Yilan Community College and 69 from Yonghe Community College. The useable rate was 67.8%. In addition, we interviewed 4 experienced experts as well as principles and administrators in community colleges.
In the end, we analyzed quantitative results through statistic method; moreover, we combined qualitative study to generalize and compare our findings. Our findings are as follows:
1. Students feel highly positive to the efforts of school to hold public forums.
2. The purpose for students to participate in public forums is to absorb knowledge.
3. Students have learned how to listen to different and opposite opinions after joining public forums.

4. There’s a need to increase the topics about community attention and life caring.
5. Enforcement of participation from school will lead to recessive opposing reaction.
6. The keynote speaker person has the highest satisfaction so that there’s requirement to improve students’ ability of “from listening to speaking”.
7. The chair person is the key person to control atmosphere and will significantly influence satisfaction.
8. Students expect a more vivid and vigorous way to hold a public forum.
9. There’s room to improve learning motives and learning satisfaction for those who have few education training.
