近年來由於微電機系統以及無線通訊技術的發展,和各方面感應材質的進步下,無線感測網路 (Wireless Sensor Networks; WSNs)已成為最近熱門的研究項目之一。除此之外,大量的行動裝置及無線網路更帶動了位置認知系統及服務 (Location-aware system and service) 的需求。因此,無線網路或感測網路上的定位系統設計,已成為一個很重要的課題。
