環物影片是一種3D物件的呈現方式,它可以真實地表現物體的細節。為了讓環物影片有較佳的觀覽效果,乃至於將其整合到新的背景中,我們有需要把環物影片拍攝時的背景去除,也就是把物件切割出來。雖然有許多的視訊物件切割技術已被提出,但是到目前為止還沒有一種全自動的方法可以適用於所有的環物影片。為了能得到較好的去背結果,使用者適時的介入是有必要的。然而對每個視訊圖框都用手動的方法去背,是一件十分花時間、花勞力的事情。本論文的目的在於研發一個環物影片的互動式去背軟體工具,讓使用者可以在最少的介入及較快的時間內完成去背的工作。我們的軟體會先對環物影片中的每一張影像,都擷取出一個初始的物件輪廓。假如有些影像的初始物件輪廓不太正確,使用者可以利用我們軟體所提供的一些方便的手動修改工具,針對其中幾張影像來修改之。在使用者介入修改後,已被使用者「確認」為好的切割結果將會經由本軟體工具中的自動傳遞程序,去修正其它尚未被使用者確認的影像去背結果。
An object movie is a set of images of a 3D object viewed from different angles, which allows the viewer to explore the object, turning, rotating and zooming in virtual space. In order to improve the display quality of the object movie, or even to integrate the object into a new background, the original background of the object movie should be removed. Although many techniques of video object segmentation have been proposed, no automatic method is suitable for removing the background of object movies. To obtain a better segmentation result, the user intervention is necessary. The purpose of this paper is to develop an interactive software tool for removing the background of object movies, which lets the users perform the work of background removal in less time with least intervention. As the first step, our software tool extracts an initial contour of each image in object movies efficiently. If the initial contours of some frames are not good enough, the users can manually correct some of those frames with some easy-to-use modification tools provided by our system. After user intervention, the verified segmentation results are used to refine other unverified frames with an automatic propagation process.
