Knowledge is the real value of business. But knowledge is always hidden in the mindset of people and is so hard to speak out. When the tacit knowledge is gone with people, the intellectual capital of business will soon decrease. So the purpose of knowledge management in business is to transfer the tacit knowledge of people into
the explicit knowledge of organization. Create organization’s value.
With the development of the Internet communication technology, using all kinds of application software to modify people’s working pattern has become a rising tendency. A quick response and group decision mechanism is already a basic issue for a company to improve it’s competition ability. “Knowledge Communities” is a group organized by experts. In communities, It’s easy for experts to share experiences and create knowledge and communities is a good method for Organization to collect and
save the tacit knowledge of people.
This study applies the Literature review. It integrate a holistic conceptual of the knowledge management strategy, knowledge communities, group decision mechanism, to establish decision-making mechanism for Strategic Issue. By means of case study method ,use in-depth interview to collect participants’ opinions, and examining the reliability and validity through the system, we confirm the practicability of this study.
The result is (1) Communities interaction mechanism enhances groups more objective on issue-discussing; (2) The better policy-making mechanism designation is, the more helpful to guide users to make decision; (3) Effective tools can assist the transformation of knowledge; (4) Through the application of systems thinking instruments, decision makers can improve their integrity of thought; (5) Only high KM sharing intention is beneficial to accumulation and creation of knowledge.
This research has three suggestions: (1) Both transformation and maintenance of discussing process of problem which corporation faced are the accumulation of corporation wisdom. (2) Try to put related workers into decision-making process; (3) A sound strategic knowledge community should contain fiscal and virtual elements.
