人類部分認知活動始於對自然現象之探索與認識，而人類之創造活動則基礎於對於世間萬事萬物的認知與思辯，反映著自然表面或深層的韻律與規則。自文明發生以來，於自然世界中擷取歸納形式與規則再現於創造活動生產，是人類創造行為方式顯著的一種類型。
建築空間形式乃是人類思維活動之具體呈現。以Charles Jencks之觀點：「建築，要成為現代生活之精神與藝術形式之生活的真實呈現，必須探索新的語言。」又「……當有一個在基本思想架構上的改變發生時，如同其他文化表現的形式，建築將因此而必須發生改變，這是被埋置於控制心靈的基本原型之中的。」
因應新世紀人類對於宇宙認識上的突破與建築空間形式上的求新求變之需求，本研究試圖透過對於動力系統及碎形理論之文獻回顧，結合建築上關於元素構成之理論，藉由對於空間設定原型之迭代演化操作，延伸發展碎形理論於建築空間形式上的應用，建立運用碎形理論生產複雜動態之建築空間形式策略，探討以碎形法則發展複雜動態建築空間之可能性與趨勢。

Human cognition is partly originated with the exploration and recognition from the natural phenomenon. On the basis of the perception and rational thinking towards the universe, the creation of human beings reflects the rhythm and rules on the surface or in the abyss of the nature. Generalizing forms and principles from the natural world to produce and create has been primary human behavior since the civilization had begun.
The form of architectural space is a concrete display of human thinking. Charles Jencks once noted：”architecture, to be true to the spirit of contemporary life and the life of forms in art, must explore new languages…”, “…when there is a change in the basic framework of thought then there has to be a shift in architecture because this, like other forms of cultural expression, is embedded in the reigning mental paradigms.”
In the new millennium, for the innovation and discovery of the universe and the changing demand for architectural forms, the goals of the research are as follows：Review records which are related to dynamical system and fractal theory. Integrate the theories and rules on the architectural elements and try to establish strategies on architectural forms by the prototypical manipulation and fractal application. Explore the possibilities and trends on dynamically Complex space of architecture systematized by the method of fractal theory in nonlinear dynamical system.
