病人伸手取物時,維持身體穩定之機制有很多因子,而坐墊可能是提供較好身體穩定度的重要因子之一。本研究目的是探討下半身癱瘓須坐輪椅的受測試者使用不同坐墊伸手前伸時的動態坐姿穩定度。

近來輔具的製作逐漸趨於個別化,量身訂製型坐墊由於是根據患者的體型製作,因此選擇量身訂製型坐墊的患者有漸漸增加的趨勢,因此作者想比較訂製型坐墊與其它兩種坐墊功能性前伸時的表現。

作者假設坐姿穩定度在伸手前伸時會受到不同坐墊的影響,測量患者使用不同坐墊功能性前伸的距離,來評估不同坐墊的穩定度,前伸的方向為原點(右側外踝地面投影)往前 0° +30° +60° +90° -30° -60° -90°,用Vicon250動作分析儀紀錄患者的動態影像,並分析最大前伸距離、最高前伸速度、平均速度,及功能性前伸面積,及手臂在最遠處晃動的情形。

結果顯示:不同坐墊對患者功能性前伸有不同的影響,其中定製型坐墊可提供較佳的穩定度。
There are many factors that affect the balance of patients with spinal cord injury while they perform a reach task. Using an appropriate cushion to provide sufficient support is the current trend foe wheel-chair users. The purposes of this research is to examine the effects of the custom-made seat cushion on dynamic sitting stability while performing a reach task for paraplegia patients and to compare the effects of dynamic sitting balance of a custom-made cushion with those of other ready made cushions.
The author hypothesized the reach task would be influenced by using different types of cushions. The maximum reach distance, maximum speed, and average speed in various directions, including 0□, +30□, +60□, +90□, -30□, -60□, and -90□, as well as the functional reach area were measured using the Vicon 250 motion analysis system when the participants sat in different seat cushions.
The result showed that the maximum reach distance and functional reach area were significantly increased when the custom-made cushion was used (p < 0.001), suggesting that the custom-made cushion can offer better dynamic sitting balance than others.
