自行車產業正面臨生存競爭之壓力,產業目前致力於提昇競爭力,創造差異化優勢。由於自行車產品生命週期極短,在供應鏈高度專業分工體系下,對於供應商選擇評估應予以重視。本研究以自行車產業為研究對象,除零組件供應廠商及成車廠之外,亦納入品牌商加以探討。本研究目的之一在於找出國內自行車產業之供應商選擇評估指標,並探討不同供應鏈之角色層級(包括品牌商、成車廠、零組件供應廠商) 對於供應商評選因素指標之異同。其二在於透過比較自行車產業不同供應鏈之角色層級,在供應商選擇指標與權重上之異同,進而建立供應商評選之評鑑表。

本研究針對自行車產業中實際從事供應商評選之相關負責人進行調查,以因素分析法萃取出自行車產業供應商選擇評估之主要因素,再以層級分析法(Analytic Hierarchy Process, AHP) 進行產業間對於供應商評選指標之權重評估。本研究歸納出自行車產業供應商評選之七大因素,包括「供應能力」、「協調合作能力」、「買方成本」、「專業能力」、「品質保證」、「管理能力」及「服務」。研究並發現自行車產業中三種角色層級均最重視供應商之品質保證,其次品牌商重視買方成本,成車廠重視供應商之供應能力,零組件供應廠商則重視其供應商之專業能力。

以上研究結論可提供自行車產業負責供應商評選之相關人員,或進行相關研究者參考。
Under the pressure of more and more competition status, all the players in the bike industry are doing their best to enhance their differential advantage for survival. The life cycle of bicycle products is short. Under highly specialized, supplier selection is a key factor for a company in the supply chain of bicycle industry. This research is targeted on bicycle industry. Besides of component suppliers and normal (non-brand) complete bike suppliers, A-brand makers are also included in this research. A goal of this research is to find out the criteria of supplier selection for material suppliers in the bike industry and trying to study the difference of such criteria adopted by different players in the supply chain, saying the A-brand makers, the no-brand bike suppliers, and the parts makers. Consequently we would like to set up a Criteria List for supplier selection.
In this research, we proceed interview with the managers in charge of the supplier selection in the bicycle industry. The key factors in supplier selection are extracted from the Method of Factor Analysis and then we proceed with weight evaluation for the criteria of supplier selection by way of Analytic Hierarchy Process. There are 7 key factors concluded for supplier selection from this research, including:
the capability to supply, the capability to cooperate and coordinate, the buyer’s cost, the professional ability, quality guarantee, management ability, and service. Another finding from this research is quality guarantee is considered to the most important factor to all various players in this bike industry. In the meantime, the A-brand makers rely more on the cost and price to them in their supplier selection while the other normal no-brand bike makers look for more on the capability to supply; and the parts makers respect more on the professional ability from their suppliers.
The conclusion of this research may be a good reference to the procurement managers of the bike industry and or a reference to similar researches.
