本研究之目標在於建構一套「以醫院為中心之疾病通報系統」,幫助醫院能夠傳送及接收符合HL7(Health Level Seven)以及DICOM(Digital Imaging and COmmunications in Medicine)格式標準之疾病通報訊息,並且提供醫院內使用者(如:感染科醫師、相關醫護人員)更方便,且具自動化之服務。由於近來各種傳染病又有死灰復燃的趨勢(如:瘧疾、肺結核),再加上去年SARS(Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome,非典型肺炎)所造成的恐慌與影響,而國內各大醫療院所內疾病疫情通報系統尚未設置健全,大部分還是依靠紙本、電話、傳真或是網路通報的方式;而健康資訊交換第七層協定HL7與醫學影像儀器和軟體間共通的通訊規格DICOM也逐漸在國內外成為一個被大眾所認可的醫療保健資訊通訊標準,因此本研究在架構一套符合HL7與DICOM之疾病通報系統。

The goal of this research is construct an Infectious Diseases Reporting System based on hospital. It can help hospital to send and receive the standard format in HL7 (Health Level Seven) and DICOM (Digital Imaging and COmmunications in Medicine), and provide users in hospital more convenience. Recently, many kinds of infectious diseases have come back, besides the SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) caused much panic to people last year. Additionally the infectious diseases reporting system in our country have not set complete, most of them still use paper, phone, FAX, or internet to report infectious disease. Now the medical standard format of HL7 and DICOM are more and more popular so this research is construct a infectious diseases reporting system which conform the format of HL7 and DICOM.
