1,4-Benzenedicarboxylic acid (H2BDC)、1,3,5-Benzenedicarboxylic
My research focusing on synthesizing new organic/inorganic coordination polymers by using green solvents: eutetic-mixtures of choline chloride and urea, 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide (EMIMBr), and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide (BMIMBr) as both solvents and templates.
The self-assembly of phosphoacetic acid and transition metal cation Zn2+ in eutetic-mixtures of choline chloride and urea, led to the formation of (NH4)[Zn(O3PCH2CO2)] (1). In addition, we used organic ligands, 1,4-benzendicarboxyloc acid (H2BDC) and 1,3,5-Benzenedicarboxylic acid (H3BTC), as bridging linkers to connect transition metal cations, including Zn2+, Cd2+, Co2+, in ionic liquids, such as EMIMBr and BMIMBr. In this work, we have successfully synthesized a serious of coordination polymers, such as (EMI)[Cd(3,5-PDC)Br] (2), (EMI)2[Zn3(BDC)3Br2] (3A), (BMI)2[Zn3(BDC)3Br2] (3B) (EMI)[Cd(BTC)] (4A), (BMI)[Cd(BTC)] (4B), (EMI)[Zn(BTC) (4C), (BMI)[Zn(BTC)] (4D), (EMI)2[Zn4(BTC)3(H2O)3(OH)].3H2O (5), and (EMI)2[Co(BTC)2(Br)(OH)].H2O (6).
Compounds (2), (3A), and (3B) adopt two-dimensional frameworks, which compounds (1), (4A), (4B), (4C), (4D), (5) and (6) adopt three-dimensional frameworks. We further discuss the synthetic parameters, structural characterization, thermal stability, and the property of ionic exchange.
