在本文中,
我們以點過程來描述地震活動的模型，
同時利用概似比檢定量(likelihood ratio test statistic)以檢定模型中的參數。
本文中的資料是以台灣地震規模 3 以上的地震為基礎，
並研究是否在某些區域上的地震發生率會比較高。
我們利用蒙地卡羅 (Monte Carlo) 方法模擬檢定量的分配，
以找出可能發生地震的群聚現象。
