本研究主要是開發一個讓運動神經元疾病(漸凍人)或重度障礙患者使用的電腦輔助工具,利用頭控系統結合分散式監控系統的電腦人機介面科技應用。頭控系統採用最新型PICOLO影像擷取卡和CCD攝影機抓取頭戴式雙光源影像,並送入電腦做運算,使用者就可利用頭部的擺動來控制電腦螢幕游標的移動,點選所要的語音、網路、遊戲或監控系統。在語音方面,有多種語言可供選擇,運動神經元疾病患者點選一個資料庫按鈕,電腦即會發出所需的聲音,以便利身心障礙人士與外界的溝通能力。在監控系統方面,使用者在頭控系統的監控畫面點選所要的按鈕,電腦即將影像信號利用BCB程式轉換成PLC的動作信號,進而控制PLC輸出,操控家庭電器用品或自動化設備的動作。
In this study, a new data processing and calibration method for head-controlled human-machine interface system is described. The proposed system is composed from Head Gesture Control (HGC) and Distribute Control System (DCS). In HGC, We adopt new PICOLO frame grabber and CCD camera to track the lighting of user. The user wears a double-source eyeglass frame, so the system catches images of the user’s head by using a CCD camera in front of the user. The computer program will locate the center-point of the head, transferring it to the screen coordinates, and then the user can control the cursor by head motions.
The DCS results in other controlling commands that will be used for driving the robots to working or the assist system. The ultimate goal this research is to develop a human-machine interface that operates simply, easily and is accessible for allowing machine orders to be communicated by the head. The availability of multipurpose in this system with very simple equipment will be reconfirmed for future advanced research.
