建立農企業的科技管理運作模式,正是傳統產業邁入知識經濟社會面對的重要課題。本研究以個體經濟觀點的創新衡量理論,運用技術K值的計量方式,衡量民國70年至92年間,我國種豬選育科技創新、績效與產品價格的變化,以提供廠商與農政單位之參考。研究樣本收集自國家核心豬場(北場)22年的連續數據共7678筆,分別進行技術進步的時間序列衡量、廠商技術群組變化之分析,再以hedonic迴歸計算分項經濟性狀的技術權重,合併成為總合技術K值,最後再對產品價格建立科技定價模型。研究發現,我國種豬選育科技呈現持續創新之現象,且廠商的技術組合朝向市場導向發展,雖然拍賣市場的平均價格未能完全反映技術創新之價值,但科技創新與價值創造呈現顯著正相關,因此本研究建議未來種豬選育科技應持續創新,以獲致更佳利潤。本研究的樣本資料僅使用中央檢定經濟性狀及種公豬資料,未來研究建議加入屠體性狀、繁殖性狀等,將使分析更臻完善。
It is a challenge for industry like agriculture to innovate over time. The aim of this study is to extend previous studies on measurement of technology innovation to husbandry industry.This is a pure empirical study in nature. This research has three specific research purposes.
First, we conduct a time-series analysis and empirically measure breeding technology innovation from 1981 to 2003, sample period. Technometrics of technology measurement is used to transform economic characteristics of pigs to technology metrics. Second, we conduct a cross-sectional analysis of technology grouping with the help of factor analysis. In addition, firms are examined to see how they have moved across different technology groups along sample period. Third, we conduct Hedonic regression analyses to
check how real auction price of pigs are different from those evaluated by theoretical
technology pricing. There are 8693 samples are collected and 7678 samples are used in empirical studies. Samples are all loaded with breed, time of auction, auction price, suppliers and buyers information for 3 major pigs, Duroc, Landrance, and Yorkshire. Major findings are the followings. First of all, it is found that breeding technology innovation of pig industry lasts in the whole sample period. Second, pig firms have incorporated technology strategy into business strategy planning. It is found that pig firms moved from low technology quadrant to high technology either emphasizing on production or consumption. These moves generated higher earnings for pig firms.
Third, generally speaking, market auction prices were lower than theoretical technology pricing based on aggregate technology metrics. The reason may come from that breeding technology promotion headed by government policy consideration, not by profit consideration.
