摘 要
��本研究的目的在於瞭解父職行為的內涵與特性、父親的父職經驗與感受、及成為父親對個人的意義;並探討父親本人對父職意涵的認知與詮釋、以及學習成為父親的過程之經驗與相關影響因素。本研究以15位年齡介於30至40歲之間、並至少育有一位年紀在三歲以上子女的父親為研究對象,以半結構深度訪談搜集資料,以紮根理論取向的方法進行資料的分析。
� 研究結果發現:父職行為的重要特性為:次要性的照顧者、主要的經濟供養者、以及親切的父親。父親在子女日常生活照顧上以協助者的角色參與,在學習性之教育工作的參與較為被動,是扮演較次要的角色;而在子女經濟需要的責任承擔上,父親仍是主要經濟供養者;此外,在子女管教上父親較傾向於扮演慈父的角色,在親子互動中傾向於選擇性的參與陪伴與娛樂性質的活動,扮演著親切的父親的角色
。就此父職行為特質,研究者並以「肩負經濟責任」與「著重關係取向」兩項重要背景因素來加以統整說明與討論。
��父親們所認知的父職意涵主要包含以下六項:承擔經濟責任、承擔教育責任、付出時間陪伴、給子女愛與安全感、避免負向傷害、維繫完整的家庭。而父親們認為成為父親的重要意義為:是一種責任的承擔、可以體驗不同的生命階段與過程、能夠和子女有情感連結與情感的依靠並也產生有家的感覺。
��研究顯示在成為父親之後會面臨許多的困境與挑戰,但是也會帶來成長與改變
。主要的困境在於工作角色與親職角色的衝突、與子女相處與管教的挑戰、以及子女帶來的家人關係的衝突與挑戰。成為父親雖然有壓力,也會在:增進情感性的特質與能力、增加責任感、增進生命的體驗與成長三方面帶來正向的成長與改變。此外,父職的學習過程與重要特性則為:是缺乏楷模的學習過程、在實踐與嘗試中學習、挫折與自省帶來改變、個人生命經驗與價值觀具有影響。
��本研究除整理研究結果並就此內容及相關議題進行討論之外,並對未來父職的相關研究與實務工作提出建議。
