臺灣博碩士論文加值系統

十九世紀下半葉屬於英國國家教育發展的階段，1833年由政府給予第一筆補助金，因而產生皇家督學的職位，旨在監督金錢的使用與替國家蒐集資料。本文研究重心在於亦為皇家督學的馬太•阿諾德。在他擔任督學的期間曾三次出訪法國、德國、瑞士及義大利等國，考察初等與中等教育的制度，為視察制度之先驅，亦在比較教育有其初探性貢獻。再加上出訪歐陸的經驗，使他發展出獨特於英國之外的文化理論，並寄其教育理想於文化理論當中。因此本文將重心擺置於其文化教育理念和其視察經驗的探討。

In nineteen century, England starts to develop its national education. In 1833 the government have the first grant to promote it popular education. Because of this, the government set the first Inspectors of Schools in England to ensure the usage of the grant and to collect information for the government. My research focuses on Matthew Arnold who also began work in 1851 as one of 'Her Majesty's Inspectors of Schools'. He held this arduous job for thirty-five years, traveling widely both in England and abroad. He has been French, Switzerland, Germany and Italy to inspect the educational system and issues there. Besides, because of his traveling experience, he developed a unique cultural theory. As a result, my focus will on his inspection experience and his cultural theory.
