First of all, according to what he’ve done in Japan and the situation of society and literature in Japan, “TZ YOU LAU TUNG JE DE SHENG HUO POU MIAN” could be Yang K’uei’s maiden work which represented special meaning and characteristic. Then by reading Yang K’uei’s novels during 1931 to 1932, “SHOU HUO” ,”DUO CHAI YIN TZAI” ,”DU” ,”SHENG YI BU HOW DE YI SHIUE SHR” ,”PIN NUNG DE BIAN SZ”、”SUNG BAU FU”, could find out that Yang K’uei wanted to continue his ideal of community activities by literature creation. From the discussion above, it could be found out that Yang K’uei had many novel works before this novel, “SUNG BAU FU”. Because of those practice and fumble, eventually he wrote this great work ”SUNG BAU FU”and got the prize in Japan. During 1931 to 1932, it could be seen as Yang K’uei’s foundation period of Proletarian Novel. The second part mainly discussed Yang K’uei’s literature activities which were after winning the prize in 1934. Since then to 1937, Yang K’uei withdrew from society and lived in obscurity. “SUNG BAU FU” made Yang K’uei go into the literary circles formally. After that, Yang K’uei started to join in any activities of the literary circles and started to establish his Proletarian Literature theory. For example, discussing issues like “literature and art popularization”, “activism”, “report literature”, “colony literature”, etc. Except his theory establishment, Yang K’uei also used his theory while writing. This change could be seen in “WU YI TSUEN” ,”CHANG JEI WEN” ,”SHEN SHR YI HUA” ,”PUA JIOU DE SHIE TZ”. Regarding writing about “Japanization issue”, Yang K’uei didn’t follow the national policy though it’s a topic which related to war. He cared about the spirit and living will of labors who tried to survive from wars instead.
