水黃皮Pongamia pinnata (Linn.) Pierre ex Merr是屬於豆科的植物,在台灣、中國大陸南部、印度、澳洲熱帶地方均有分布。文獻記載顯示具抗發炎及止潰瘍所造成的疼痛、具有抗菌、抗濾過性病毒及具抗熱病的藥理活性。在我們持續致力於化妝品天然原料的開發研究中,最近發現水黃皮葉之萃取物具有抗氧化活性。本研究以抗氧化活性導向進行水黃皮葉之活性成份研究,分離出的活性成分並經由光譜分析確定其結構。
In our contining search for natural source ingredient from Chinese

medicinal herbs,was found that extracts of Pongamia pinnata showed

the significant antioxidant activity.

In this study ,the active constituent of Pongamia pinnata ,was

isolated by process of antioxidant activity assay and column chromato-

graphy. The structure was established by the spectroscopic methods and

its activity was also achieved.
