本論文提出寬頻圓極化印刷槽孔天線的設計,以及縮小化的寬頻圓極化印刷槽孔天線設計。第一個設計是利用雙折形的微帶線以電磁耦合方式饋入修正型圓環形槽孔天線,採用不同於傳統圓環形印刷槽孔天線的微帶線饋入方式,藉由相互正交的兩個饋入端口,將線性極化操作轉換為圓極化操作,且大幅增加3dB軸比頻寬,而其圓極化操作頻帶仍與相同尺寸的傳統圓環形印刷槽孔天線的主模態頻帶相同。
第二個設計主要是在正方形槽孔中植入一組T形及馬刺形金屬微帶,以T形金屬微帶產生圓極化操作,再植入馬刺形金屬微帶達成降低圓極化操作頻帶的特性。此一天線設計具有寬頻圓極化的操作特性,當操作頻率相同時,此天線尺寸遠小於僅植入T形金屬微帶之圓極化天線。
In this thesis, several wideband circularly-polarized (CP) slot antennas are proposed. The first CP antenna design is constructed with a modified annular-ring slot and a dual-bent-shaped microstrip-feed-line to provide two orthogonal feeds with 90o phase difference, which results in circular polarization operations and a much enhanced 3dB axial-ratio bandwidth than conventional CP annular-ring slot antennas. It is seen that the CP operating frequencies of the proposed antenna is still located at the first resonant band of a conventional annular-ring slot antenna though the slot shape has been slightly modified.
With the known CP slot antenna of a square slot embedded by a T-shaped grounded strip, wideband CP operations were obtained. It is shown that, the CP operating frequencies of the second proposed antenna in this thesis can be much lowered by loading a bent strip into the slot of abovementioned antenna design. Thus, the size of the proposed antenna can be much reduced with same CP operating frequencies.
