在半導體技術,微型化,無線網路,感應器,等等持續的進步下使得計算機能夠移動並且與它們的環境相互作用,並且這是使他們的使用更容易和更友好的機會。例如手機、PDA等各種電腦科技產品,目的是提高人類未來的生活品質。在日常生活過程中,人們使用各種各樣的電子設備。基於使用者友善,簡單和迅速來說,人們為這些電子儀器製造相應遙控器。但是我們知道可攜式設備的性能不僅僅限制於啟動和關閉。它們能做更錯綜複雜的活動。我們希望使用行動設備像Unix shell一樣分發命令到附近計算機。 讓它們為我們工作並且一同合作。

在本篇論文裡,我們提議一個解決辦法透過在像Unix一樣的系統裡利用分散式的管道和shell來發展新型態的應用。這個解決辦法是基于從各種各樣的來源收集設備訊息的服務發現伺服器。我們可以利用PDA等行動裝置藉由服務發現伺服器的幫助對我們身旁週遭的電腦下達命令。利用我們對管道和Shell的擴充,而且配合我們設計的三個模組,我們就可以讓兩台以上的電腦互相溝通合作.本文也描述我們的架構的實作。這簡單的實作能有效理解我們的觀點的正確性和限制性,並且為更進一步的改進給予可能的線索。我們也提出兩個利用我們的架構所設計出頗為實用的新型態的應用。
The continue progress in semiconductor technology, miniaturization, wireless networking, sensors, etc. has enable computers to go mobile and interact with their environment, and this is the chance to make their use easier and friendlier. Such as cell-phone, PDA, etc., the purpose is to improve mankind's quality of the life in the future. In daily life, people use the electronic device of all kinds. For user-friendliness, simple and fast, people make corresponding remote controller for these electronic devices. However we know the ability of the portable devices not merely limited to turn on and turn off. They can do more complicated movements. We hope to use mobile devices to assign commands like UNIX shell to nearby computers. Let them work for us and cooperate together.

In this paper, we propose a solution to enable new application by exploiting distributed pipe and shell in Unix-Like system. This solution is based on service discovery server that gathers device information from various sources. We can utilize action devices , such as PDA ,etc. to find and order the computer of the surrounding area by the help of service discovery server . Utilize our expansion of the channel and Shell, and cooperate with three mould groups that we designed , we can let more than two computers communicate with each other and work together. A architecture implementation of us is also described. This simple implementation make it possible to understand the validity and the limits of our view, and give clues for further improvements. We also propose two applications of the rather practical new-type by utilizing our architecture .
