國內「預拌混凝土業」為水泥製品之加工業，是典型的內需型傳統產業。近年來營建工程的需求量擴大導致混凝土之需求急速增加。但隨著原物料及勞動等要素的價格上漲，使得成本及支出相對增加。藉由資訊科技可協助預拌業者解決釵h過去無法克服的經營困境，並且取得競爭力優勢。然而，預拌業相對於大企業或高科技產業，是屬於低資訊化的產業，以往學術研究大部分針對高科技產業或高資訊化產業，探討其導入資訊系統成左疑鶬鉿]素，對於傳統產業在資訊系統應用方面研究甚少，本研究旨在研究國內預拌業在資訊系統上應用之現況，探討影響預拌業於資訊系統上應用的因素，縮短其產業間的「數位落差」(Digital Divide)，提升預拌業的資訊素養與資訊能力。
本研究以Thong(1999)的研究為基礎，並根據其產業特性發展出以「CEO特性」、「組織特性」、「環境特性」和「資訊系統特性」等四個構面為基礎的問卷，問卷寄發對象則是包括全省合法登記之預拌混凝土業者。回收後採用複回歸分析分別對「應用廣度」、「應用深度」以及「應用強度」推得三個迴歸方程式。研究結果顯示（1）台灣預拌業之CEO特性與其他中小企業相較雷同，與其他中小企業並無差異。（2）「資訊強度」確實對「應用深度」造成影響。此項研究結果凸顯預拌業者對於工地、標案等新資訊的取得相當重要，且要求快速回應，是該行業中較為重要的特性。（3）「客戶的影響力」是預拌業的生態及其特性中不可忽略的重要因素，顯著影響資訊系統「應用廣度」及「應用強度」。（4）資訊系統的「複雜性」及「成本」較其他行業別設有更高的門檻，因此造成資訊化程度較其他行業別更低的原因。
本研究可提供政府單位推動「營建業自動化及電子化推動計畫」時，營建體系上、下廠商資訊應用整合時的參考依據，及幫助政府單位在「縮減數位落差四年計劃(九十四年至九十七年)」中，實現縮短產業落差的目標；並可供實務界企業主進行系統規劃或提升時，清楚歸納計畫方向，促成正確系統的規劃發展，以提升資訊系統應用的成必v及避免企業資訊重覆投資；以及將來軟體供應商在協助預拌業者進行資訊化建置時的重要建議及參考。

The Ready-Mixed Concrete plant in Taiwan is a typical inner-demand traditional industry for processing cement production. The demand for the ready-mixed concrete increases rapidly due to the expansion of the construction engineering, meanwhile, the raise of material and labor price results in the cost increases relatively. The information systems will help the ready-mixed concrete industry to solve management difficult and attain sustainable competitive advantage. However, related studies focus on the critical factors in implementing information system in the high technology industry.
This study investigates factors affect information system applications in the ready-mixed concrete industry. A theoretical model was developed base on the research of Thong (1999) and a survey was conducted, which involves four dimensions including decision-maker characteristics, organizational characteristics, environmental characteristics, and information system characteristics. The results from regression analysis indicated that: (1) Information strength significantly influences “depth of IS applications”, which shows it is very useful to obtain latest information from the construction site and government engineering to make the response rapidly.(2) The influence from the customers is a significant factor to affect both the width and strength of IS applications. (3) Complexity and cost of the information systems in the ready-mixed concrete industry are significantly higher than other industries. Finally, managerial implications are also provided.
