近年來隨著多重協定標籤交換（MPLS；Multiprotocol Label Switching）技術的興起，結合MPLS技術的MPLS VPN為當前熱門的研究議題。其中隨著發展較早的MPLS Layer 3 VPN已經漸趨成熟，起步較晚的MPLS Layer 2 VPN逐漸成為焦點，特別是虛擬私有區域網路服務 (VPLS；Virtual Private LAN Service)。目前VPLS尚未有標準的技術規範，兩大流派Lasserre VPLS和K-Kompella VPLS仍不分軒輊，我們依照Kompella VPLS draft為基礎，提出另一種自動搜尋的機制來進行實作。本論文主要著重於延伸BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) 以實現整個VPLS系統中的自動搜尋 (Autodiscovery) 與仿效連線信令 (Pseudo-Wire signaling)，針對現有的BGP開放原始碼做適當的延伸，並在系統中擴充與其它daemon的溝通介面。最後，本文也以實際的測試環境來驗證，測試結果顯示弁鄍蕭T無誤。

As the MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) technology arises in recent years, MPLS VPN has gradually become a hot issue in not only MPLS research but also VPN services. As of now, the early-developed MPLS Layer 3 VPN has become mature, and the more recent MPLS Layer 2 VPN is now turning into a key area in research, especially in the Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS) topic. There hasn’t been a finalized standard for VPLS yet, but there are two major VPLS draft proposals, which are the Lasserre VPLS and the Kompella VPLS. Through using the Kompella VPLS draft as a basis, this thesis proposes a VPN membership auto-discovery technique. This thesis focuses on extending the BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) released source code and providing daemon communicating interfaces in the Quagga-based system to realize auto-discovery and Pseudo-Wire signaling in VPLS. Our auto-discovery implementation is verified to worlk correctly in a realistic environment.
