本研究主要在探討「調查研究法」在生產作業管理領域上的相關文獻，目的在瞭解目前「生產作業管理」在調查研究上的演進與趨勢。回顧過去的研究發現，國內目前在此方面尚未有類似的文獻整理分析之研究，反觀國外的研究卻已經有許多相關研究，而此類的研究結果能提供學術界研究領域上的參考，使研究的方向與議題能夠得到適當的調整。
本研究主要的論文架構是延續Rungtusanatham等（2003）研究，探討的範圍以六種生產作業管理相關的期刊為主: Decision Sciences, International Journal of Operations ＆ Production Management, International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Operations Management, Management Science, Production and Operations Management。研究方法為針對此六種期刊分析其2001到2005年出版的文章，研究議題以「及時生產製造」、「科技管理」、「作業策略」、「品質管理」、「供應鏈管理」五類為主。
本研究藉由近五年相關文獻的探討，期望提供最新的趨勢，並透過分析的結果瞭解生產作業管理在調查研究法上的進化與趨勢，並將本研究的分析結果與Rungtusanatham等（2003）做比較分析。
經由研究結果發現，在近五年中，「及時生產製造」的研究領域由於起源的歷史較遠，使得這個研究領域已經呈現飽和的狀態，加上新的技術與科技不斷的推陳出新，讓相關領域的專家學者開始往其他議題做研究；反觀「供應鏈管理」，在過去Rungtusanatham等（2003）的分析結果是屬於較為落後的部份，但是從本研究的分析結果可知，此議題近在五年有突破性的成長趨勢，顯示有許多的學者陸續朝著這個研究領域發展，所佔的比重領先其他的研究議題。另外，在近五年的分析中，有關「作業策略」的議題也在持續成長中，此趨勢與Rungtusanatha等（2003）在當時所做的分析趨勢相同。
在未來的研究上，可以針對國內的期刊做類似的文獻分析比較，以便瞭解目前國內在生產作業管理上的研究趨勢與發展。此外，可以結合國外的分析結果來做比較，並且針對有差異或是有落差的部份做更深入的研究與探討，提供國內在相關學術上的研究做為參考。

This research mainly discusses survey research method for the object of understanding its development and trend in the field of Production and Operation Management. Reviewing the relevant papers in the past, there are few papers doing this kind of research in Taiwan. Instead, there are so many foreign researchers having published many papers relating survey research method, and those can provide our academic circle with their results for further studies with some proper modifications.
The research structure of this study is the extension of the study by Rungtusanatham et. al.（2003）. Six main Operations Management journals are our targets to survey, which are Decision Sciences International Journal of Operation ＆ Production Management, International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Operations Management, Management Science, and Production and Operations Management. From the papers published from 2001 to 2005 in the above five journals, our research topics will be based on Just-In-Time Manufacturing, Management of Technology, Operations Strategy, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management.
From our literature review of papers within the recent five years, we expect to get the newest trend for Production and Operations Management. In addition, a comparison with Rungtusanatham et. al.（2003）will be also made in this paper.
One of our research findings is that the study in the field of Just-In-Time Manufacturing is already saturated since it evolved a long time ago. Moreover, the new technologies are evolving constantly that causes most researchers to switch their interests to other topics. For example, the Supply Chain Management is far behind from the analysis result of Rungtusanatham et. al.（2003）, but becomes a very hot topic in recent five years. It also indicates that more researchers will target on this field leading to the most popular research field. In addition, the topic of Operation Strategy is also growing as well as the trend predicted by Rungtusanatham et. al.（2003）.
In further study, a similar comparison in literatures for domestic journal will be made for understanding the trend and development in Production and Operations Management for Taiwan. Furthermore, we combine foreign analysis results with domestic studies. The difference between them can also be a target for future exploring and investigating.
