本研究之主要研究目的在於建立搜尋者於網際網路環境搜尋旅遊資訊之搜尋歷程模式,以期深入瞭解旅遊資訊搜尋者使用網路搜尋資訊的過程中所具有的相關搜尋行為與資訊搜尋步驟。根據何昶鴛、林孟慧(2005)所歸納出的相關搜尋行為特徵,建立相關模式並發展問卷題項。本研究以網路問卷方式蒐集資料,共獲456份有效問卷;調查資料係作為驗證模式之用。本研究以徑路分析(Path analysis)說明資訊搜尋過程模式中變數間存在之單向因果關係。研究結果如下:
一、搜尋者使用網際網路搜尋旅遊資訊之初,受到個人過去之經驗(包括:旅遊資訊搜尋經驗與旅遊經驗)影響其搜尋。
二、搜尋者在資訊搜尋過程中會遭遇一些困難(包括:資訊問題與網站問題),而影響資訊搜尋;同時會將所獲得的資訊進行彙整(包括:剪貼資訊與儲存)。而後會繼續搜尋資訊,直到搜尋者自認獲得足夠資訊才結束該次上網搜尋資訊。
三、結束上網搜尋資訊後,搜尋者會將所尋獲的資訊再進行彙整(包括:儲存資訊、列印、分類)。而後,會與親朋好友或網友相互討論資訊,或透過其它資訊搜尋管道尋求更多旅遊資訊。而搜尋者在進行資訊交流後,亦會再次搜尋資訊。
The main purpose of this study was to investigate the search process of travel information seekers on the Internet. Based on the results of the previous study investigating common experiences of seekers in information seeking situation by implementing a travel planning assignment through the field observations at the terminal and through interviews with the participants (Ho & Lin, 2005), the conceptual framework, which is to depict an Internet travel information search process, was formulated in the current research. Then, a large-scale Internet survey was conducted to collect the relevant empirical data to verify the proposed model. A total of 456 usable responses were obtained.
The information searching process model, which hypothesized the relationships among several information search patterns, was tested using LISREL Version 8.3. The global goodness-of-fit statistics indicated that the structural model fitted the data within an acceptable level. All hypothesized paths were supported at the 0.05 level of significance.
The model suggested that web-based travel information-seeking behavior arouse as a consequence of prior travel experiences or online information-searching experiences. Information seekers employed a couple of strategies to search for needed information. They felt that functionality and information quality of the websites were an obstacle to their searching. The model identified information processing involved during the searching, as well as information seekers finished that single search task. Afterwards, information searching behavior involved other people through information exchange and that information perceived as useful might be passed to other people, as well as information researching via other information channels (including travel booklets, travel agents, friends/relatives).
