Abstract Change of times, innovations of technique; the height of the structure is higher than before. Therefore, the quality of the project and how to prevent the disaster are the one of the tests for the construction. Taiwan situated in Eurasia tectonic plate and it has earthquakes frequently. How to lighten the construction and shorten the schedule will be the most important issue. In order to solve the problem, the curtain wall has gradually replaced the traditional materials such as brick wall and RC wall. However, the differences of weather, regulations and the unskillful constructors will bring further troubles. Because the technique is import from the West and the unskillful constructors are not familiar with the qualities of the curtain wall, it would definitely make the wall full of cracks and the fire prevention would not match with the standard of the new technique. Due to the shoddy work and the use of the inferior materials, fire prevention could not possibly reach the standard. The research is based on the combination of the materials and try to analyze the fire prevention for different results by testing the various ways of doing them and using the different kinds of materials. By using the fireproof laboratory, which passed the CNS12514 test of the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection, simulate the scene of fire and focus on length of the fire prevention of the different materials. Moreover, putting things in order to make a set method and standard for constructors to follow. Therefore, it would be better to ensure the qualities of the constructions.
