This study focuses on the 127 domestic information electronic companies from 1997 to 2002, totally 1,033 global configuration cases. Discussing what are the factors effect companies’ global configuration and their operating performance.
In the First part, we connect companies’ characteristics with global configuration characteristics, using the internationalization experience, the international diversification, the investment motive and the proportion of foreign capital’s shareholding to be the independent variables, and take the percentage of joint venture, the investment dispersion degree, the percentage of investing in developed country as the dependent variables, finally discovered the international experience, the culture are away from and the investment motive generally affects each global configuration’s characteristics.
In the Second part, we discuss companies’ characteristics with their performance. Using the percentage of joint venture, the investment dispersion degree, the percentage of investing in developed country to be the independent variables, and the excess value as the dependent variable, finally we detect the more dispersible investment and the more percentage we invest in developed country, the better performance we have.
In aspect of the disturbance variable, the finding discovers the timing of global configuration has obvious influence. In addition, this study discovers domestic electronics industry has more activities and the place are also more widespread during 1997 to 2002. Finally, we disappear that the global configuration will cause the operating performance and the companys’ value obtaining the further promotion.
