During the fast development of internet and information technology, the enterprise have accumulated a large information and knowledge. For the utilization the enterprise’s knowledge, many companies have implemented the knowledge management systems (KMS) to integrate the information flow and improve the competitive ability.
However, the development concept of existing KMS were base on technology approach, paid little attention on the division of label and the corporate strategic goals. This research combines the Critical Success Chains, Activity theory and Knowledge Process perspective to develop the analysis framework of knowledge management systems. We verified by M-company which had implemented the SharePoint Portal Server (the KMS developed by Microsoft). The research finds that the different actors really have different demands for KMS. So, Activity theory can help to analysis the requirement of KMS, and Critical Success Chain can make the consistent of corporate goals.
